Owl Papers is an independent space for journalism, stories, opinions, creative writing, and observations about people, culture, media, and everyday life. It is a place for exploring ideas, asking questions, and telling stories with curiosity and care.
Owl Papers was founded by Saraf Najib, a journalism student and writer with a growing interest in reporting, storytelling, culture, and the ways people experience the world around them.
As a student of journalism, Saraf uses Owl Papers as a space to learn, experiment, report, write, and develop a personal voice. The platform brings together reported pieces, opinions, creative work, and smaller observations. Some are deeply researched, while others are more personal and reflective.
Owl Papers is, above all, a work in progress. It is a space to document stories worth telling, ideas worth exploring, and the process of becoming a better storyteller.

My Story
So far
My journey so far has been shaped by a mix of curiosity, creativity, and a love for storytelling. I am currently studying journalism, learning how to observe the world more closely, ask better questions, and turn what I discover into stories. Outside journalism, music has always been a big part of my life, both as a listener and as a musician. I am also drawn to animation, films, art, literature, and the little details of everyday life that often go unnoticed. These interests constantly influence the way I think and create, often overlapping in unexpected ways. Owl Papers is a reflection of all of that. It is a space where I can explore journalism and writing while also making room for the many other things that shape how I see the world. I am still learning, experimenting, and finding my voice, and this is simply the story so far.
Music and Art
Beyond journalism, music, art, and photography have always been important parts of my world. Music gives me a way to express what words sometimes cannot, while photography lets me pause and preserve the little moments that might otherwise disappear. I am also drawn to animation, film, illustration, and visual storytelling, all of which influence the way I see and understand the world. For me, creativity does not need to fit neatly into one category. It is about observing, feeling, experimenting, and finding different ways to tell a story.

Our mission is to explore cultures, amplify unheard voices, advocate for women and animals, and engage with the humanitarian issues that shape our world. Through journalism and storytelling, we hope to challenge indifference, spark meaningful conversations, and remind people that behind every issue is a story worth listening to.
